Suyi Xu (she/her)

My works are encounters of surreal visual space where fragments of the body become emotive and memory-making gestures. Oscillating between a slanted first-person perspective or a voyeuristic third-person view, the paintings position the viewers in an ambivalent position. Created under the new reality of social isolation, my most recent works present an introspective view of how spaces can become a physical embodiment of alienation.
